In his speech, Putin began by acknowledging the passage of time, stating, "In these moments, just before the New Year, we all feel the passage of time. Before us is the future. And how it will unfold largely depends on us."
He emphasized that Russia's strength lies in its people and the support they give one another, expressing confidence that with unity and mutual assistance, the hopes and plans of the nation will come to fruition.
The President noted that each individual’s personal dreams and goals are intertwined with the fate of Russia.
"Our own hopes, personal and unique, in our own way irreplaceable. But they are inseparable from the fate of our Motherland," Putin said, underscoring that together, the people of Russia contribute to the country’s thousand-year history and help shape its future.
The New Year, he remarked, symbolizes belief in better things to come—hope, kindness, and luck. It is a time for people to open their hearts to love, friendship, compassion, and generosity.
Putin also spoke of the nation’s desire to support and care for those in need, extending a special message to the heroes of Russia’s special military operation. He praised them for their dedication, courage, and sacrifice, assuring them that millions of Russians stand with them, thinking of them, and rooting for them in this pivotal moment.
"We are united in sincere, selfless, devoted love for Russia," Putin declared. "I congratulate all our fighters and commanders on the upcoming New Year! We believe in you and in our victory!"
