Russia Demands UN OHCHR to Publicly Condemn Ukrainian Attack on Kherson Region

Russia demands that the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights publicly condemn Ukraine's terrorist attack in Khorly, Kherson Region, as soon as possible, Russia's Permanent Representative to the UN in Geneva, Gennady Gatilov, said.

"We demand that UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Volker Turk and his Office, as well as the relevant special procedures of the Human Rights Council, publicly condemn the Kiev regime's monstrous terrorist attack in the Kherson Region as soon as possible," the Permanent Mission quoted Gatilov as saying.

He expressed condolences to the families and friends of those killed.

Kherson Region Governor Vladimir Saldo said Thursday that three Ukrainian drones struck a cafe and hotel in the Kherson Region, where civilians were celebrating the New Year, with preliminary data showing that 24 people were killed and over 50 injured.
