Russian Air Defenses Shoot Down 129 Ukrainian Drones: MoD

Russian air defenses shot down 129 Ukrainian military drones over more than 20 regions overnight, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Tuesday.

"On-duty air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 129 fixed-wing Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles between 11 p.m. on January 5 and 7 a.m. on January 6," the statement read.
Of those, 29 drones were downed over the Bryansk region, 15 over the Belgorod region, 13 over the Yaroslavl region, 10 over the Novgorod region, nine over the Smolensk region, seven each over the Kursk and Penza regions, six each over the Tver and Bashkortostan regions, five each over the Astrakhan and Rostov regions, four over the Kaluga region, two each over the Moscow, Orel and Leningrad regions.
One drone each was downed over the regions of Voronezh, Kostroma, Tula, Tambov, Tatarstan, Ryazan and Crimea.
