Russia to Showcase SuperJet-100 and Il-114-300 at Wings India 2026

The Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade has shared footage of the SuperJet-100 interior equipped with PD-8 engines produced by the United Engine Corporation (ODK).

The aircraft features a special livery incorporating the colors of the Indian national flag and will soon be displayed at the static exhibition area at Wings India 2026.
According to Rostec, the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) will for the first time showcase its latest regional aircraft at the exhibition — the Il-114-300. Both aircraft will be presented with Russian-made passenger cabins.
The released video highlights the stylish and comfortable interior of the SuperJet, which has not been shown publicly before.
Both aircraft are powered by domestic engines. The turboprop Il-114-300 is equipped with the TV7-117ST-01, while the SuperJet-100 is powered by PD-8 engines.
During the event, the Il-114-300 will participate in the flight program, while the SuperJet-100 will be showcased on the static display in its special Indian-flag-themed livery.
Rostec notes that airlines in the region are showing significant interest in Russian civil aircraft.

“India is one of Russia’s strategic partners. Rostec has long developed close technological cooperation with Indian colleagues, including under the Make in India initiative. While our military aircraft are traditionally in demand, there is great potential in civil aviation as well. India’s UDAN program (Ude Desh ka Aam Naagrik – ‘Let the common citizen fly’) aims to make air travel more accessible and expand regional airports. This creates strong prospects for the commercial success of the SJ-100 and Il-114-300 in the Indian market,” Rostec said.

The international airshow Wings India 2026 will take place from January 28 to 31 in Hyderabad.
The SJ-100 is a short-haul, narrow-body aircraft developed under a comprehensive import-substitution program, designed to replace foreign systems and components in the Superjet family. On March 17, the aircraft completed its first flight powered by the Russian-built PD-8 engine in Komsomolsk-on-Amur, marking the start of in-flight engine testing. According to Rostec CEO Sergey Chemezov, deliveries of 12 fully import-substituted SJ-100 aircraft are expected in 2026.
The Il-114-300 is a modernized version of the Il-114 turboprop aircraft, intended to replace aging An-24 planes on domestic routes, as well as foreign models in the same class, such as the ATR 72 and Bombardier Dash 8. In December 2025, Russia’s Ministry of Industry and Trade announced that testing of the aircraft was in its final stages. The Federal Air Transport Agency (Rosaviatsiya) expects the first three Il-114-300 passenger aircraft to be delivered in 2026, pending regulatory approval.
