Russia Triples Meat Imports from India: Data

Russia almost tripled its imports of meat from India between January and October last year, reaching a record high, according to an analysis by Sputnik based on data from India’s Ministry of Commerce and Industry.

Russian companies purchased $84.4 million worth of beef in the first ten months, up from $29.87 million a year earlier. This marked the highest import value since at least 2016, (the earliest year for which publicly available data exist.)
In addition to meat, Indian companies supplied Russia with significant volumes of prawns worth $134.6 million, about a third more than a year earlier.
