India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday inaugurated the Uttar Pradesh Global Investors’ Summit 2023 in Lucknow.Applauding the state government for good governance and maintaining law and order, Modi said that Uttar Pradesh is driving the growth of New India.“Uttar Pradesh has also benefited greatly from the work that has been done to increase social, physical, and digital infrastructures. Health, education, green growth, and social infrastructure are great opportunities for investors in India,” said the Prime Minister.Prior to Modi, Uttar Pradesh State Chief Yogi Adityanath also addressed the participants, noting that the summit would help UP on its path to becoming a one trillion dollar economy.Lauding Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, the Uttar Pradesh State Chief said that byaligning with the vision and ideology of Reform, Perform and Transform of the Prime Minister, the state has attained unprecedented development under his leadership.Apart from Modi and Yogi, several other dignitaries including Reliance group chairman Mukesh Ambani, Aditya Birla group chairman Kumar Mangalam Birla, Tata and sons Chairman N. Chandrashekharan and various others were also present at the inauguration ceremony.While speaking at the summit, Ambani said that Reliance group is committed to Uttar Pradesh’s growth. He also announced that his company will invest INR 750 billion ($9 billion) in the state.The three-day event to be held from February 10-12 is likely to see more than 10,000 delegates, including more than 400 participants from 41 countries, top industry leaders, Federal Ministers, Ministers/diplomats from 10 partner countries; the CEOs of leading companies and banks are expected to attend the 34 sessions during the event in the state capital.The idea of the summit is to bring together policy makers, industry leaders, academics, think-tanks and leaders from across the world to collectively explore business opportunities and forge partnerships.

India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday inaugurated the Uttar Pradesh Global Investors’ Summit 2023 in Lucknow.
Applauding the state government for good governance and maintaining law and order, Modi said that Uttar Pradesh is driving the growth of New India.
In his address to the participants, the Prime Minister said that the state has witnessed holistic development as there has been improvement in every field from electricity to connectivity, and Uttar Pradesh has changed its “Soch (thinking) and Approach” for the ease of doing business along with infrastructure.
“Uttar Pradesh has also benefited greatly from the work that has been done to increase social, physical, and digital infrastructures. Health, education, green growth, and social infrastructure are great opportunities for investors in India,” said the Prime Minister.
Prior to Modi, Uttar Pradesh State Chief Yogi Adityanath also addressed the participants, noting that the summit would help UP on its path to becoming a one trillion dollar economy.

Highlighting the achievements of the state government, the State Chief said Uttar Pradesh has doubled exports in the last five years and is now known for its excellent law and order. “Besides, the state is numero uno in India's food basket and production of food grains, milk, sugarcane and many other things,” he added.
