Dr Ajay Sahai, the Director General & CEO of FIEO, earlier told Sputnik that New Delhi sought to boost exports to Russia to $5 billion.
India and Russia are trying to reach an agreement in the field of shipbuilding and ship repair, India's Ambassador to Russia, Pavan Kapoor, told reporters in Astrakhan on Thursday after meeting with the region's Governor, Igor Babushkin.
"We are working on an intergovernmental agreement on shipbuilding and ship repair. I am taking part in talks with the United Shipbuilding Corporation (USC). We will see how these two interests can be combined," the ambassador said.
