The Russian president was not on the premises at the time of the attempted drone attack, the Kremlin told Sputnik.
The Ukrainian government attempted to strike with a UAV at the Kremlin residence of Russian president Vladimir Putin on Tuesday night, the Kremlin said in a statement.
Two Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles were targeted at the Kremlin.
What is Known About Drone Attack on Putin's Kremlin Residence
As a result of the actions of the military and special services, the devices were disabled;
There are no casualties or material damage from fragments that fell in the Kremlin;
The Kremlin regarded these actions as a planned terrorist act and an assassination attempt on the Russian president on the eve of Victory Day;
As a result of the terrorist attack, the president was not injured; his work schedule has not changed, and continues as usual;
Commenting on Putin's schedule in light of the attack, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told Sputnik that it remains without changes.
Russia reserves the right to take retaliatory measures where and when it sees fit, the Kremlin noted.
