India and China Express Interest in Establishing Arctic Research Station: Russian Official

Earlier, plans were announced to create an international scientific center and develop a museum complex in Spitsbergen, the largest island of the Svalbard archipelago, Norway.
India and China have shown interest in creating a scientific research station in Spitsbergen in the Arctic Ocean.
This was announced by the head of the Russian Ministry of Far East Development, Alexei Chekunkov, at the Amur Expo Forum, which it taking placing in Russia's Blagoveshchensk from May 26 to 28.
These projects will be developed by Russia's company on Svalbard, Trust Arktikugol.
