After passing through a series of complex manoeuvres, the lander will make a soft touchdown on the lunar surface from an elevation of about 100 km. Post-landing, the six-wheeled rover will roll out to conduct experiments on the Moon's surface for 14 days. If successful, the landing would make India the fourth country to achieve this feat, following the United States, Russia, and China.
