At least 11 people were killed, and 15 others injured in the Indian state of Rajasthan after a truck rammed into a bus and its passengers in the early hours of Wednesday. The incident happened when a private bus with about 60 passengers ran out of fuel on a national highway. The trip's halt caused the bus driver and multiple passengers to disembark and stand next to the vehicle, which is when the collision happened.Most passengers were pilgrims, had started their journey at Gujarat’s Bharatpur area and were traveling to Uttar Pradesh’s Vrindavan, a sacred place for Hindus.Rajasthan Police have registered a case and are investigating the accident.Rajasthan State Chief Ashok Gehlot took to Twitter and paid his condolences to the victims. “The death of 11 people in the collision between a bus and a trailer of devotees who had come on a religious pilgrimage from Gujarat's Bharatpur is extremely sad. Police-administration is on the spot and the injured have been taken to a hospital for treatment. I pray to God to give peace to the souls of all the deceased and courage to the families. May God give speedy recovery to all the injured,” Gehlot tweeted.

Every year, about 150,000 people die in road accidents in India, 40 of the accidents occur on national highways.
At least 11 people were killed, and 15 others injured in the Indian state of Rajasthan after a truck rammed into a bus and its passengers in the early hours of Wednesday.
The incident happened when a private bus with about 60 passengers ran out of fuel on a national highway. The trip's halt caused the bus driver and
multiple passengers to disembark and stand next to the vehicle, which is when the collision happened.
