India will hold elections in March-April to cast ballots for 543 parliamentary seats, which will determine the next Prime Minister. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), currently in power, is eagerly anticipating its third consecutive victory and aims to re-elect Narendra Modi.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday launched its poll campaign for the upcoming Lok Sabha 2024 election.
The party slogan tagline or the
election campaign will be the slogan, "Modi ko chunte hai" (let us choose Prime Minister Narendra Modi).
The campaign was launched in the presence of Prime Minister Modi, with party president JP Nadda releasing the theme song in a 2-minute, 10-second video, "Sapne Nahi Haqeeqat Bunte Hai, Tabhi Toh Sab Modi Ko Chunte Hai ('Not dreams but let's weave the reality, that's why let's elect Modi')."
The campaign song
focussed on the various initiatives launched under the tenure of PM Narendra Modi, such as Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT), Har Ghar Nal Scheme, and Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, among others.
On Thursday, BJP organised the First Time Voters Conclave, NaMo Navmatdata Sammelan, in 5000 locations throughout the country, which PM Modi virtually addressed.
"Today,
India's glory shines highly on the global stage. When I meet and greet global leaders, it's not Modi but 140 crore Indians who represent India, who represent this great nation. Today, India stands
strong and resilient, more than ever before. Notably, this is the power of a poorna bahumat Sarkar (majority government)," PM Modi said.
The BJP came to power in 2014, by winning 282 seats, and in 2019, its influence further strengthened as it won 303 seats. Previously, on multiple occasions, the BJP expressed its ambition to achieve a staggering 400-seat victory.
