Earlier, Kuleba criticised Narendra Modi government for its neutral stance on the conflict in Ukraine, ignoring Western sanctions against Russia, and boosting energy trade with Moscow. Despite desperate attempts by NATO and its puppet, Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky, India, among other Global South leaders, has been reluctant to invest in the proxy war in Ukraine — either financially or politically. The only solution to the Ukraine crisis is diplomacy and peace talks, India has repeatedly said. Testing Waters After Criticizing India? Ukraine's FM Heads for New Delhi: Reports
Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba is planning to visit India in the near future, The Hindu reported, citing diplomatic sources.
"We are very pleased to note that despite all the turbulence in the world, relations with our trusted friends in Asia - with India, with the Indian people - are developing steadily," Russian President Vladimir Putin told Indian External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar during his five-day visit to Russia in December 2023.
The only solution to the Ukraine crisis is diplomacy and peace talks, India has repeatedly said. But Ukraine refuses to sit down at the negotiating table.
