Western Intel Agencies Trying to Use Religious Factor to Incite Discord in Russia
MOSCOW (Sputnik) - Western intelligence agencies, including through NGOs and social networks, are trying to use national and religious factors to incite discord in Russia, a fresh report by Russia's Federation Council Commission on Protecting State Sovereignty said on Wednesday.
"There are serious grounds to believe that in order to destabilize the political system of Russia, foreign intelligence services, including through NGOs and similar structures subordinate to them, as well as social networks and personnel of relevant organisations of NATO countries, are trying to make maximum use of national and religious factors to incite discord wherever possible," the report read.
