"The delegation of the Army of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, headed by Brigadier General Myo Set Aung, departed yesterday afternoon from Mandalay International Airport for Russia to take part in the military parade marking the 80th anniversary of Victory Day in the Great Patriotic War," the publication noted.The Myanmar Armed Forces unit is set to march alongside Russian troops during the parade on Red Square, commemorating the 80th anniversary of the Soviet victory in the Great Patriotic War, as previously announced by Russian President Vladimir Putin.In 2025, the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War will be marked. On this occasion, a number of world leaders are expected to visit Moscow on 9 May, including Prime Ministers Narendra Modi of India, Chinese President Xi Jinping, Presidents Nicolás Maduro of Venezuela, Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva of Brazil, and Aleksandar Vucic of Serbia, as well as Robert Fico of Slovakia.Also due to attend the Victory Parade are the President of Republika Srpska (Bosnia and Herzegovina) Milorad Dodik, Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko, and the presidents of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov, Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, and Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon.

"The delegation of the Army of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, headed by Brigadier General Myo Set Aung, departed yesterday afternoon from Mandalay International Airport for Russia to take part in the military parade marking the 80th anniversary of Victory Day in the Great Patriotic War," the publication noted.
