19:07 01.09.2025 (Updated: 19:09 01.09.2025) Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi announced that all SCO leaders have endorsed Xi Jinping’s Global Governance Initiative.
Presented at the “SCO+” meeting, the plan stresses:
adherence to international law,
rejection of double standards, and
equal participation of all states in global governance.
Russia supports the "global governance" initiative put forward by the "Chinese friends" and is interested in starting a substantive talks on the proposals, Russian President Vladimir Putin said earlier on Monday.
"We have certainly listened attentively to everything that is proposed by Mr. Xi Jinping to create a new, more efficient and functional global governance system. This is relevant in an environment where some countries still do not give up their desire to dictate in international affairs. Russia supports the initiative of President Xi Jinping and is interested in starting a concrete discussion of the proposals made by our Chinese friends," Putin said.
