Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said his government is working to guarantee the continued flow of Russian oil and gas to Hungary, stressing that steady imports are vital because the country has no significant domestic reserves.
Orban noted that Hungary has already secured an exemption from US sanctions on Russian energy and said the next priority is to ensure there is “not just paper and permits, but actual oil and gas.” He added that he would hold further talks “in the coming days” to secure supplies.

According to Orban, Russian oil and gas will keep arriving in Hungary, and Serbia will also benefit: “If we have it, you will have it too. Whatever we have, we will share.”
