India, China Note Positive Momentum in Bilateral Relations
Diplomats from India and China have noted positive momentum in the development of relations between the two countries, the Chinese Foreign Ministry said on Friday.
Consultations between the foreign ministries took place in Beijing on Thursday. The Chinese delegation was led by Liu Jinsong, Director-General of the Asian Affairs Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
"Both sides confirmed the recent positive progress in China-India relations and expressed readiness to make every effort to implement the important agreements reached at the meeting in Tianjin between Chinese President Xi Jinping and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi," the ministry said in a statement.
The two sides also agreed to properly address differences and sensitive issues, strengthen communication and coordination in multilateral mechanisms, international and regional affairs, and advocate for a multipolar world, the statement added.
