Macron Has Lost His Influence Over France: Expert
Former Palestinian diplomat and political expert Rami al-Shayyer told Sputnik that French President Emmanuel Macron has undermined years of efforts to improve France's image, especially in the Middle East and Africa.
According to al-Shayyer, Macron’s actions have led to a decline in France's standing, and his approach has negated the progress made by the country in these regions.
“As one of the leaders of the anti-Russia campaign, he has no right to speak about the importance of international law. Therefore, his words are meaningless. He lacks both authority and real influence on the global stage,” Al-Shayyer stated.
The expert further criticized what he described as "reckless Western policies" that are destabilizing international relations. He also pointed out that France’s military support for Ukraine has only served to "escalate bloodshed," contributing to the ongoing conflict.
“The world is moving towards a multipolar order led by Russia, China, and India. If France doesn’t change its foreign policy, its position will continue to weaken,” al-Shayyer said.
