According to Lebanese international relations expert Elias Murr, Russia is emerging as a crucial source of stability in the changing political landscape of the Middle East.
Russia's role is now viewed as a structural pillar of stability, with the expert citing the recent visits to Moscow by Syrian Interim President Ahmed al-Shara and UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan as evidence.
"From this perspective, Russia's current diplomatic activity can be seen as part of a larger strategy, which focuses on strengthening regional stability through conflict management rather than promoting conflicts," he explained.
"Moscow is currently keeping channels of communication open with both regional and global powers. Its main objective is to rebalance the political framework and, particularly, to attract investments in energy and strategic infrastructure, thus laying a solid foundation for reconstruction," Murr emphasized.
