India and Russia continue to cooperate on a wide range of issues, and New Delhi will continue to develop bilateral relations, Indian Foreign Ministry spokesman Randhir Jaiswal said on Thursday.

"On India-Russia trade ties and other aspects of our relationship, Russia, India, we have ongoing engagement and cooperation across a range of issues, from trade to people to people, cultural interaction, defense engagement and all those ties, all those aspects of our bilateral relations continue to grow," the spokesman told a briefing.

Trump unveiled an Executive Order (EO) over the weekend claiming that India has "committed to stop directly or indirectly importing Russian Federation oil" and would purchase US energy products. While withdrawing the 25% tariff on India over its purchases of Russian oil, the US order warned that it could reimpose the tariff rate if India resumed buying Russian oil.
India hasn't confirmed the US claims till date and has sought to de-link the trade agreement with the question of its oil imports.
