The Russian delegation is receiving detailed instructions from Russian President Vladimir Putin on the eve of its departure for talks in Geneva on the situation in Ukraine, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Monday.
Putin is in constant contact with the Russian negotiators on Ukraine, Peskov noted.
"Indeed, the delegation will be expanded. This time, in addition to [presidential aide Vladimir] Medinsky, Deputy [Foreign] Minister [Mikhail] Galuzin and other officials will be there," Peskov said, adding that chief of the Russian General Staff's Main Intelligence Directorate Igor Kostyukov will also join the delegation.
The talks on Ukraine in Geneva are expected to focus on the main issues, including those related to territories, the official said.
