Russian air defense alert systems shot down 18 Ukrainian drones over five Russian regions, the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov on Tuesday morning, the Russian Defense Ministry said.
"From 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. Moscow time [03:00-05:00 GMT] on February 24, air defense alert systems destroyed and intercepted 18 Ukrainian fixed-wing unmanned aerial vehicles," the ministry said.
The ministry said that seven drones were destroyed over the Krasnodar Territory, four over the Black Sea, two each over the Belgorod and Saratov regions, one each over the Samara and Rostov regions and the Sea of Azov.
