The Ukrainian crisis arose because of the Western support for the coup in Kiev, Russian President Vladimir Putin said in an interview out on Sunday.
"After all, where did the Ukrainian crisis originate? It arose from Western countries' support for the coup in Ukraine, and then the events in Crimea, and then in southeastern Ukraine, in Donbas, Novorossiya. That's where it all began, that's where it all stems from," Putin said.
The conflict in Ukraine is the West's systemic error on the part of Western countries, Putin said.
"These aren't our actions, they're the actions of Western, European, countries. They're reaping what they've sown," the president underlined.
