Moscow enterprises from various industrial sectors held talks with Indian partners to showcase their products, explore joint projects and conclude supply agreements. Six companies took part, said Moscow’s Deputy Mayor for Transport and Industry, Maxim Liksutov.
Moscow covered the costs of logistics and the organisation of business meetings with potential buyers.
“By the end of 2025, Moscow ranks first among Russia’s regions in terms of trade volume with India — the capital accounts for 60% of the country’s total trade turnover with this friendly state. In line with the task set by Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin, the city provides comprehensive support to businesses to develop export potential in this area: from advisory assistance to organising exhibition stands at international events,” said Liksutov.
He noted that this is precisely why this year’s season of business missions began in India, with six leading companies taking part in the negotiations.
These included a confectionery manufacturer, a biotechnology pharmaceutical company, a lift manufacturing plant, and developers of semiconductor devices, interactive displays and telecommunications equipment.
“During the international business mission, delegates presented their products to foreign partners — distributors and representatives of Indian industry associations and government organisations — and agreed on potential supplies to India. Possible joint projects include exporting solutions for transport infrastructure, including metro systems, as well as in the field of cybersecurity, and the localisation of Moscow industrial companies in Mumbai’s special economic zone,” said Moscow Government Minister and Head of the Department of Investment and Industrial Policy, Anatoly Garbuzov.
As part of the mission, electronics manufacturer Opttron JSC (part of the Roselektronika holding of the Rostec State Corporation) presented its latest developments in optical data transmission systems to industry distributors and manufacturers. The talks demonstrated strong potential and a high level of interest from Indian partners in Russian equipment.
During the mission, a resident of the Technopolis Moscow special economic zone — display and interactive equipment manufacturer Nex-T — held a meeting with an Indian electronics company interested in using its displays as components in its products.
The telecommunications equipment developer Informatika i Svyaz also took part in the negotiations. For example, it discussed possible cooperation with a local communications systems integrator on implementing joint solutions in transport projects, including the Mumbai Metro.
A representative of the Karacharovsky Mechanical Plant, Deputy General Director and Commercial Director Alexander Gimadeev, also participated in the talks, including meetings with colleagues from one of India’s largest industrial groups, as well as representatives of the metro system.
