China will take measures to protect Chinese companies included in the 20th round of EU sanctions against Russia, and the EU will bear full responsibility for the consequences, the Chinese Ministry of Commerce said on Saturday.
The EU added six Chinese companies to the list as part of the 20th round of sanctions against Russia.
“China will take the necessary measures to resolutely protect the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese companies, and the EU will bear full responsibility for the consequences,” the ministry said in a statement.
Beijing also opposes the inclusion of Chinese companies in the EU’s 20th package of anti-Russian sanctions and calls for their removal from the list, the statement said.
