The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) has successfully launched 177 satellites from 19 countries over the past five years, the organizations reports.
In that period, ISRO's commercial divisions have launched 177 space satellites owned by Australia, the UK, Canada, the US, France, Japan and other countries. Revenue from launches amounted to about $94 million, Indian media reported on Friday.
Since June 2020, India has been implementing a program to engage non-governmental organizations and private companies in space exploration and launch satellites in order to take the national space program to a new level, ISRO said.
