Health of PM Modi's Mother Heeraben Improves

Born on 18 June 1923, Prime Minister Narendra Modi's mother, Heeraben, has less than six months to go before she becomes a centenarian.

The health condition of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's mother Heeraben has improved, the Gujarat state government announced on Thursday.
Heeraben is expected to be discharged from Ahmedabad's UN Mehta Institute of Cardiology and Research Centre "in a day or two", the press release from the office of Gujarat state chief Bhupendra Patel, said.
"Heeraba's health is good. Her health is improving rapidly. She is likely to be discharged in a day or two. Oral diet started yesterday night," it stated.
The 99-year-old Heeraben Modi [also known as Heeraba] is being treated for an undisclosed ailment at the hospital in Ahmedabad city, to which she was admitted two days ago.

Indian PM’s Mother Hiraba Modi Hospitalized, Condition Stable
On Wednesday, the hospital described her condition as "stable", but would not provide any details on her illness.
Prime Minister Modi visited his mother from Delhi and spent more than an hour with her on Wednesday.
Modi visited her recently at their Ahmedabad home, while campaigning for BJP candidates for this month's state polls.

The Indian leader has a deeply affectionate relationship with his mother and is often seen taking time out of his busy schedule to visit her during festivals and birthdays. He's spoken about her in public on many occasions in the past and has written about his bond with her on his website.
