Naushad Ali, a terrorist captured earlier by the Delhi Police, has made some shocking revelations, claiming he, along with his associates, were tasked with attacking “right-wing Hindu leaders" in Punjab state, and he had tried to go to Pakistan twice but failed, Indian media reported on Thursday, citing unnamed sources.

During the interrogation by police, Naushad Ali revealed that he and his associate Jagjit Singh alias Jagga were constantly in touch with the Pakistani handlers of the Harkat-ul-Ansar and the Hizbul Mujahideen terror groups.

Naushad also told police that he also regularly he received instructions from Asfaq, alias Arif, a special member of the terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba*.

Who is Naushad Ali?

For 27 years, Naushad, who was imprisoned for murder, kept meeting the terrorists of Pakistani terrorist organizations.
After his release from jail after 25 years in 2018, Naushad was later inducted by Nadeem into Harkat-ul-Ansar to work together for Jihad. Since then, he reportedly started working at the behest of Pakistani terrorist Suhail (his full name was not available).

Back in 2019, Naushad claimed he'd gone to Nepal twice to find a way to go to Pakistan from there. However, he failed to escape as the Nepali officer through whom he was trying to get his Nepali passport made was arrested for graft, according to reports.

Meanwhile, ahead of India's Republic Day commemorations on January 26, security has been heightened across the cities.
