At least four people were killed and 20 injured after a three-storey rice mill building in Taraori town of Karnala city in Haryana collapsed on Tuesday.
Soon after the incident occurred, fire brigades, police and ambulance reached the spot for rescue efforts.

Several workers are still feared trapped under the debris of the mill, the officials involved in the rescue operations told media.

Superintendent of Police Shashank Kumar told media that National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF) will also reach the spot.
“No worker is missing now as we have cross-checked the list,” he added.
According to local officials, the workers used to sleep inside the mill after their shift ended.
“A total of 24 people have been affected, 20 of them are injured and 4 are dead. Around 150 workers were inside the building when the incident took place,” District Commissioner Anish Yadav told reporters.
Regarding the reason behind the collapse, Yadav suggested that prima facie it was found that building had some defects.
“A committee will be formed to investigate the incident. Legal action will be taken against the rice mill owners,” he stated.
