A daughter of a daily wage carpenter in Dindigul district of India's Tamil Nadu state has surprised everyone after emerging as the topper in her final state board exams, scoring a perfect 600/600.
Commerce student S. Nadhini, scored full marks in all six subjects -- Economics, Tamil, English, Accountancy, Commerce, and Computer Application.
Coming from a financially challenging background, Nandhini outshone others students and made her parents proud with her latest feat.
Sharing her secret of success, Nandhini, a student of Annamalaiar Mills Girls Higher Secondary School, said that studying without being under any pressure was a big help.
“I have never had any pressure at all from my parents or teachers. While my aim was to be the school topper, I did not expect to get six centums,” Nandhini told Indian media.

It was her family's financial situation that inspired her to achieve her goal.
“They have been extremely supportive of me, and did everything they could to ensure I studied well,” Nandhini said.
"My father is a daily wage laborer. But he never tried to stop me from studying. He told me that my education is my wealth and has encouraged me," she added.
After Nandhini's exceptional achievement in high school exams, Tamil Nadu state chief M.K. Stalin pledged that his government will sponsor her education in the future.
