Over 100 slum dwellings were gutted in a fire that broke out on Sunday in Delhi's Jahangirpuri area.
The incident reportedly took place in the morning at around 10 a.m. local time and engulfed the slums in no time.
The fire department received a call at 10:22 a.m., after which nine fire tenders were rushed to the spot to douse the blaze.
While nobody was injured, the police are investigating the reason that triggered a fire in the slum.
Visuals of the fire have surfaced on the internet showing large clouds of black smoke in the sky and people carrying their belongings.
