"General Pande will be reviewing the Passing out Parade (POP) of officer cadets of the 84th Long Course at the Bangladesh Military Academy (BMA), Chattogram on Tuesday," according to the statement shared by the Indian Army.
This is the second visit by the Army Chief to Bangladesh in less than a year.
"Frequent visits by senior military leaders and bilateral cooperation events such as joint military exercises contribute to enhancing military-to-military relations between both nations," the statement further read.
Earlier in March, the Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh, in the presence of Bangladesh Army Chief Ahmed, said that New Delhi would help the country with its defence modernisation efforts and has identified defence industry cooperation with Dhaka as an emerging focus area of the bilateral partnership, including joint development and production.
The High Commissioner also said that India extended the Defence Line of Credit worth USD 500 million to the Bangladeshi government and urged the defence industry on both sides to take full advantage of this arrangement.
