At least six people died and 25 were injured after two buses collided on a highway in Maharashtra’s Buldhana district on Saturday at around 2:30 am.
Meanwhile, 32 other passengers received minor injuries and were given first aid.
According to the police, two buses collided head-on at around 2.30 am on National Highway 53 at the Nandur Naka flyover in Malkapur area.
Forty percent of road accidents in India occur on national highways, mostly because they exceed the speed limit at night. Each year, about 150,000 people die in road accidents throughout the country.
