Launching BRICS+ Grouping is Not on Agenda, Russia Says

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Wednesday that the creation of an organization besides BRICS that would have more members was not being discussed.

"At the moment, these discussions are not taking place," Peskov told reporters, answering the question whether the issue of the creation of a new organization besides BRICS is being discussed.

The official added that the issue of BRICS enlargement would be talked over since there are certain nuances as regards the position of various member-states on the matter.
The Kremlin spokesman also niticed that he Russian government's position against the withdrawal from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) was well-reasoned.
"The main thing here is that the government's position is very well-reasoned, therefore, disagreement with such a proposal is very well-reasoned," Peskov told reporters.
