The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) on Friday congratulated its Russian counterpart Roscosmos for the successful launch of Luna-25.
“Congratulations, Roscosmos, on the successful launch of Luna-25 💐Wonderful to have another meeting point in our space journies. Wishes for Chandrayaan-3 & Luna-25 missions to achieve their goals,” the ISRO tweeted on X (formerly Twitter).

Russia, one of the pioneers in conquering space, launched a Soyuz 2.1b rocket carrying the country's Russia's first lunar mission in 47 years -- Luna-25. It took off from the Vostochny Cosmodrome.
The spacecraft is scheduled to enter lunar orbit at an altitude of 100 km (62 miles) on August 16.
Meanwhile, Chandrayaan entered lunar orbit on August 5 and it has shared a few photographs.
Roscosmos had earlier stated that the two missions (Luna and Chandrayan) would not get in each other's way because they planned different landing areas.
