Russian Forces Strike Ukrainian Command & Control, Intel Posts Overnight

The Russian Armed Forces have launch a strike with high-precision weapons at Ukrainian command and control, as well as intelligence posts overnight, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Wednesday.

"On the night of August 30, the Russian Armed Forces carried out a group strike with long-range air and sea-based high-precision weapons against enemy command and control and intelligence posts. The goals of the attack have been achieved. All assigned objects are hit," the ministry said in a statement.

Ukraine Loses Up to 85 soldiers in Zaporozhye Region

Russian troops also repelled nine Ukrainian attacks in the Zaporozhye Region in the past 24 hours, where Kiev lost up to 85 soldiers.

"In the Zaporozhye direction, nine attacks were repelled … In the past day, up to 85 Ukrainian servicemen, a tank, three armored combat vehicles, two pickup trucks, three M777 artillery systems and three US-made M119 howitzers …were destroyed in this direction," the ministry said in a statement.

The ministry also said that the Russian military has repelled five attacks in the Donetsk direction.
"Enemy losses [in the Donetsk direction] amounted to 380 Ukrainian servicemen killed and wounded, four armored combat vehicles, seven vehicles, two D-20 howitzers, the Msta-B gun, and the Rapira anti-tank gun," the ministry said, adding that Ukraine lost up to 120 soldiers in the South Donetsk direction in the past day.
Earlier in the day, several Russian regions experienced large-scale drone attacks carried out by Ukrainian Forces, including Moscow Region and Pskov Region. The Russian Forces thwarted Ukraine's drone attacks on facilities in the country, destoroying over a dozen drones.
