Ukraine Armed Forces Shell Donetsk, Fire Three Cluster Munitions

Сluster munitions are outlawed by 108 countries. The US Joe Biden administration sends such munitions to Ukraine to be used against Russian forces, with a number of US lawmakers and human rights activists opposing the move.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces fired three incendiary rockets from MLRS and three cluster munitions in the Donetsk direction, the Donetsk People's Republic's representative office at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination of Issues Related to War Crimes of Ukraine (JCCC) reported.

"Fire was recorded from the Ukraine Armed Forces in the direction: ... the city of Donetsk (Petrovsky and Kievsky districts): three rockets were fired from the MLRS (incendiary); ... the city of Donetsk (Petrovsky and Kirovsky districts): 3 shells of 155 mm calibre (cluster) were fired" the representative office said in a telegram channel.

Cluster munitions
Ukrainian forces also fired four 155 mm NATO calibre shells at the Petrovsky and Kirovsky districts of Donetsk.
Artillery of 155 mm alibre is used by NATO countries. The United States supplied Ukraine with long-range M777155 mm howitzers, Ukrainian troops are actively using them to shell the cities of the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics. Also, Ukrainian troops have been supplied with German PzH 2000 self-propelled artillery mounts, Polish Krab self-propelled guns, and French CAESAR self-propelled guns using shells of this calibre.
