The Biden administration is sending cluster munitions, which have been outlawed by 108 countries, to Ukraine to be used against Russian forces, with a number of US lawmakers and human rights activists opposing the move.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine have stepped up the use of cluster bombs in their shelling of the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), its acting head, Denis Pushilin, said on Tuesday.

"The enemy has ramped up the number of cluster bombs used, of course, this primarily affected civilians. In recent days, in addition to Donetsk, Gorlovka, Yasinovataya, Makeevka... Shakhtersk, a city located in the rear, has come under bombardment," Pushilin specified.

He also highlighted the loses among civilians in recent days.
Pushilin believed that the Kiev regime, having practically no success on the battlefield, has shifted to "reports" on how much damage has been done to civilians. "It is difficult to explain it any other way, there is no military usefulness here," he added.
