On Tuesday, Dmitry Peskov, the Kremlin spokesman, stated that Russia remains committed to actively seeking a resolution to the ongoing conflict between Israel and Palestine.

"We maintain our contacts and participate in all [negotiation processes], but unfortunately there are few formats that seek a common basis for a settlement and do not work very effectively, as recent practice has shown. Nevertheless, we intend to continue our efforts and play our role in terms of helping to find ways of settlement".

Earlier, Peskov admitted that the conflict between Israel and Palestine could possibly spread to new territories. The Kremlin spokesman said it was highly likely that other countries would get involved in the situation.

"The risk of third parties getting involved in this conflict is high. It is very important to find ways to get into some kind of negotiation process as soon as possible, in order to reduce this escalation and to get out of the regime of a violent solution," he said.

This is how Peskov described the US fleet moving towards Israel in response to the escalating conflict with Gaza. Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov proposed a collaborative effort between Russia and the Arab League (AL) to put an end to the escalating conflict in the Middle East, specifically between Israel and Palestine.
Peskov discussed several issues related to the ongoing conflict in Palestine.

Main points from Peskov's last briefing:

Kadyrov* spoke in support of Palestine, but Russia has links with both Palestinians and Israelis, including many fellow citizens in Israel;
The Russian authorities are contacting Palestine to ascertain whether any Russians are among the hostages;
The Kremlin disapproves of Zelensky's comments alleging Russian involvement in the events in Israel, as they have no factual basis;
The exact dates of Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas' visit to Russia have not yet been determined. The details will be finalised through diplomatic channels. The visit was arranged in advance;
There is nothing extraordinary about the return of Russian businessman Fridman to Russia, as he is Russian.
