Hindu devotees in India and around the world are eagerly preparing for the spectacular nine-day Navratri festival, an occasion celebrated with immense excitement and fervor.

One such way that the devotees celebrate this festival is by wearing nine different colors associated with nine reported avatars of Goddess Durga that are worshipped on each day of Navratri.

On the first day of Navratri, Goddess Shailputri, also known as Parvati, Bhavani, and Hemavati, is worshipped. In her honor, devotees wear orange which signifies warmth, joy and exuberance.
