Russian air defense systems have destroyed two Ukrainian airplane-type unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) over Russia's western region of Bryansk, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Wednesday, adding that no injuries had been reported.
"During the night of October 11, two attempts by the Kiev regime to commit terrorist attacks by aircraft-type UAVs on objects on Russian territory were prevented. Two Ukrainian drones were intercepted over the territory of the Bryansk Region by the air defense systems on duty," the defense ministry said in a statement.
Following a botched drone strike on Moscow, the United Nations in August condemned any targeting of civilian infrastructure.
