Pakistan has successfully conducted a training launch of the Ghauri Weapon System, local media reported, quoting the Pakistani Army on Tuesday.
Ghauri weapon system to test the operational and technical readiness of the army's Strategic Forces Command, the statement said.
On 18 October, the country also conducted the flight test of the Ababeel Weapon System ballistic missile.
The launch was witnessed by the Commander, Army Strategic Force Command (ASFC), senior officers of the Strategic Forces, scientists and engineers of the Strategic Organisation.
President Arif Alvi, Interim Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar and Service Chiefs congratulated the troops, scientists and engineers on the successful launch.
In 2015, Pakistan had test-fired the Ghauri-I(Hatf-V), a medium-range ballistic missile capable of carrying up to a 700-kilogram conventional or nuclear warhead.
