The anti-missile defence systems of the Russian Black Sea Fleet have detected and hit three unmanned Ukrainian Navy boats in the Black Sea, the fleet's information support department reported on Tuesday.
"On 24 October at about 4 o'clock [6:30 IST] in the northern part of the Black Sea, three unmanned boats of the Ukrainian Navy were detected by technical means of observation. The area where the unmanned boats were detected was attacked with missile and bomb systems," the fleet's press service said.
At present, the Russian Black Sea Fleet is carrying out a number of anti-mine and anti-diversion operations on the outer roadstead of the Bay of Sevastopol, the Fleet's press service added.
Earlier, the governor of Sevastopol, Mikhail Razvozhayev, said the Black Sea Fleet had repelled a possible attack by underwater saboteurs on the outer roadstead.
