Nepal Observes More Tremors One Day After Deadly Earthquake

Out of several earthquakes in Nepal since October this year, the most devastating was the one that hit the country on Friday late night in which at least 157 were killed.

A day after witnessing one of the most deadly earthquakes, Nepal on Sunday early morning again felt the tremors measuring 3.6 magnitude.
The information about the tremors was shared by the National Centre for Seismology on social media.
“Earthquake of Magnitude: 3.6, Occurred on 05-11-2023, 04:38:20 IST, Lat: 28.63 & Long: 83.94, Depth: 10 Km, Location: 169 km NW of Kathmandu, Nepal,” NCS posted on X (formerly Twitter).
Following the earthquake on Friday, Nepal’s Prime Minister Pushpa Kumar Dahal visited the affected areas to assess the situation.
“There has been a lot of damage in the earthquake-affected area. Hundreds of people are injured, thousands of houses have been destroyed, and our government is engaged in relief work. We have deployed the Nepali Army, Nepali Sentinel. The Armed Police Force has been given the responsibility of taking all the injured to the hospitals for rescue through helicopters,” Dahal told the media.
Nepal Army, Nepali Sentinel and the Armed Police Force have been deployed to conduct rescue operations while health workers have been also deployed to provide medical support to the injured.
India has already extended its support to Nepal in regard to the devastating earthquake as Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a tweet said “India stands in solidarity with the people of Nepal and is ready to extend all possible assistance. Our thoughts are with the bereaved families, and we wish the injured a quick recovery”.
