The processes of de-dollarization will increasingly gain momentum, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has said.
"A gradual and steady reduction in the share of the dollar and euro is observed (...) The processes of de-dollarization will increasingly gain momentum," Lavrov said at a meeting with the heads of diplomatic missions accredited in Moscow in the format of a round table on Ukraine.
He stated that the biggest economies, consisting of China, India, Turkiye, the UAE, Brazil, Saudi Arabia, Argentina, Kenya, and Egypt, are participating in the move towards national currencies.
US Still Buys Uranium from Russia
The United States still purchases uranium and other essential materials from Russia, as stated by Lavrov.
"While forcing the EU to give up everything Russian, Washington continues to buy uranium and other critical materials from Russia," Lavrov said.
At the same time, he stressed that the United States "forces European companies with its selfish laws" to give up Russian energy resources in favor of expensive American LNG.
