Indian Defense Secretary Giridhar Aramane will be on a two-day visit to Oman beginning January 30, an official statement has said.
"The visiting Indian official is expected to co-chair the 12th Joint Military Cooperation Committee meeting with the secretary general of the Ministry of Defense, Oman Mohammed bin Naseer bin Ali Al-Zaabi," it added.
Aramane will look to review defense cooperation between the two countries and explore new possibilities to further strengthen bilateral engagements.
They will also exchange views on regional and global issues of mutual interests, it added.
The visit is also expected to boost defense cooperation and strategic partnership between the two nations.
India and Oman have a robust and multifaceted relationship which has expanded into several strategic areas, including defense and security.
