A team of eight chefs from the Taj Swarna in Amritsar, Punjab, showcased their culinary prowess by setting a new Guinness World Record for creating the 'largest ever' parantha weighing 37.5kg during the Rangla Punjab Festival.
This monumental achievement not only broke records, but also showcased Punjab's rich culinary heritage and tourism.
To create the largest parantha, the team used 700 kg of wheat flour and cooked it on a specially assembled 20-burner gas stove designed for the event.
They underwent rigorous preparation, including intensive training sessions, and created two custom-made pans, each measuring 5.10 feet in diameter and weighing three quintals, which were specially transported from Delhi.
