Until the launch of Agni-5, India's longest-range missile was the Agni-III, with a range of up to 3,500 kilometers, which was insufficient to cover the far eastern and northeastern regions of potential adversaries.
The Agni-5 missile has the capability to reach almost all of Asia, boasting the longest range in the history of India's weapons programme.
