Russia's nuclear energy agency has supplied new equipment to update India's biggest nuclear power station.
Russia and India are boosting energy-sector cooperation with the shipment of parts for two more units of the Kudankulam Nuclear Power Plant (NPP) from Russian state atomic energy corporation Rosatom.
The first batch includes 26 wedge valves, both high and low pressure.
Rosatom shipped pipe fittings for the Kudankulam NPP in India, while other equipment will be packed and transported after completing the drying process, Russian media reported on Saturday.
According to the report, the equipment will be transported from Petrozavodsk to St.Petersburg by rail, and then by ocean-going barge to India.
